We are pleased to introduce to you, the Lagos State Board of Internal Revenue (LSBIR), and its autonomous operational arm, the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS), with headquarters at The Good Shepherd Building, Block H, Plot H1, Central Business District, Opposite Lagos State Secretariat Main Gate, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos State.

The LSBIR was set up by the Lagos State Revenue Administration Law, a Law to make provision for the Administration and Collection of Revenue due to the State Government and Local Government Councils in Lagos State, to establish the relevant Administrative structures and for other connected purposes. The Bill which was assented to by the Governor of Lagos State in 2007, established the LSBIR as a body corporate with perpetual succession. It also established the LIRS as its operational arm.

The office of the Executive Chairman of the Board of Internal Revenue has provided confidential phone numbers and e-mails addresses for member of the public who have relevant information that can help in combating problems of multiple taxation, and other tax related issues.
